Alcohol & Other Drugs Task Force

Mission:

The Alcohol and Drugs Task Force addresses the issues of substance use, abuse, and mental health throughout the FIU community. The Task Force will support FIU’s mission to prevent the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees. The Task Force will keep our partners informed of innovative and leading practices for alcohol abuse, misuse prevention, education, enforcement, social norming, healthy alternatives and other environmental strategies for addressing mental health. The Task Force endorses low-risk choices and the use of early intervention services.

  • Assess FIU campus mental health, alcohol, tobacco and other drug use.
  • Review and recommend policies related to substance use and abuse.
