We can’t wait to see you at Panther Camp! As a friendly reminder, please make sure you review the information on all three tabs below to help you prepare for Panther Camp.
Waiver
Complete the Panther Camp Session 1 Waiver before coming to campus.
*If you are under 18 years of age, please note that you must also complete the Medical Authorization and Medical Contact Form. ALL your waivers MUST also be co-signed by a parent or guardian. If you are under 18 and do not have these waivers signed by a parent or guardian, you will not be able to attend Panther Camp.
Parking
- Parking is provided free of charge at Blue Garage. If you will be parking on campus during Panther Camp and are not a currently enrolled student, you will need to register your vehicle through this Parking Link.
- If already enrolled in classes, ensure your car is registered under your account through FIU’s Parking and Transportation website. Do not create a guest account.
- Please register your car for your orientation session coming to campus. You will only have to register your vehicle once for Panther Camp.
- Enter campus from the main entrance off SW 107th Avenue via SW 16th Street.
- If you are traveling from the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC), there is the BBC Shuttle, which takes students to MMC, that is running on Friday morning starting at 6:00 am and in 30-minute increments afterwards. However, if you are not a currently enrolled student, you will need to pay $5.00 per trip when boarding.
- As a reminder, we will provide transportation to and from Modesto Maidique Campus and Biscayne Bay Campus on Saturday, June 25th.
Panther Camp Program Check-In
- Check-in for Panther Camp after you have checked in for Housing (see Housing Check-In tab) is at 9:00 a.m. in the Student Academic Success Center (SASC) at the Modesto Maidique Campus.
- Enter campus from the main entrance off SW 107th Avenue via SW 16th Street.
- Once you exit the garage, follow the signs to the Student Academic Success Center.
- Please see/print our campus map or use the FIU Mobile app, which has interactive maps to help you locate the Blue Garage (PG2) and Graham Center.
- If there is anything preventing you from checking in at this time, please email us at pcamp@fiu.edu.
Housing Check In- Please check in at Lakeview South Residence Hall first to receive your room key BEFORE arriving to the Student Academic Success Center (SASC) for the Panther Camp check-in.
- Housing Check-in will be from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
- See/print our campus map or use the FIU Mobile app, which has interactive maps to help you locate the Blue Garage (PG2), Lakeview South, and the Student Academic Success Center.
Housing Packing List
During Panther Camp, you will be residing in Lakeview South, 11040 SW 14 St, Miami, FL 33174. If your parent or guardian needs to get in touch with you during your stay, they can call the Lakeview front desk at 305-348-1171.
Below is a list of items to bring. Remember, you are just here for two nights! The rooms are furnished with a bed and dressers, so you will only want to bring the essentials to sleep comfortably for your stay.

- DO NOT LOSE YOUR KEY FOR YOUR ROOM
What You Should NOT Bring:
- Any apparel from another college/university - You are a Golden Panther now!
- Anything valuable like laptops, iPads or tablets (recommend leaving them in your room if you need to bring them to avoid your items getting lost or damaged).
- Open heat sources are prohibited. This includes candles, incense, and hot plates.
- Don’t forget to bring a hoodie or jacket – the rooms can get cold!
- Feel free to bring quick snacks!
- When you arrive to campus on Friday, look for the students in bright royal blue polos to answer questions and direct you to the correct Check-In location(s).
- We will be providing all meals (lunch and dinner on Day One; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Day Two)
- FYI - We highly recommend eating breakfast on Friday before checking-in for the session, as lunch will not be provided until 12:15 pm!
- Finally, you will be receiving a phone call before camp from one of our Panther Camp Facilitators.
- These students have been planning for your Panther Camp experience since January.
- They will be calling to make sure you have received and understand all the above the information and answer any lingering questions you may have about this experience. Please do not hesitate to ask them any questions you may have!
