Step 2: Apply to Florida International University - become a Panther!

•  Whether you're a new or transfer student, you'll need to apply to the university to get started. To apply visit the admissions website here.

   

Step 3: Register with our office! Once you have been accepted to FIU, register with the Veteran & Military Affairs (VMA) office by filling out your Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) located within your student portal:

• SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Login to your my.fiu.edu account   

  2. Click on the "Tasks" tile  

  3. Click "More"

  4. Click on "Confirm Military Connection"

  5. Click on "Memorandum of Understanding via DocuSign"

  6. Fill out the form completely and provide appropriate documentation

  7. Submit

• If the MOU task is not on your To Do List please contact our office for assistance having it added on.

Step 4: Using State or Federal Education benefits? Submit an Enrollment Certification Request form so our office can process them for you. 

• SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. Login to your my.fiu.edu account   

  2. Click on the "Student Tools" tile  

  3. Click on the "Student E-Forms" tile

  4. Click on "Veteran and Military Affairs"

  5. Click on "Veterans request for Enrollment Certification" link

  6. Fill out the form completely and provide appropriate documentation

  7. Submit       

• Complete this Every semester you wish to utilize your education benefits. 

• TA or EDD: You can attach your voucher to the Enrollment Certification Request.
