Donate to DRC
For over 20 years, FIU’s Disability Resource Center (DRC) has been a driving force in building a more inclusive and equitable university. We lead campus-wide efforts to create learning environments that are accessible, usable, and sustainable for all students.
Our center is home to a state-of-the-art Adaptive Technology Lab and supports accessible computer workstations across campus. We proudly serve a diverse population of over 4,800 students, including those in undergraduate, graduate, law, and medical programs.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to celebrating individuality, fostering community, and advancing social awareness around disability inclusion.
Supporting Student Success
The DRC also empowers students with disabilities through scholarship opportunities such as:
The Johnson Scholarship Foundation
The Dr. Fareed Haj Scholarship Endowment (for students who are blind or have low vision)
In partnership with FIU's Disabled Student Union Bureau, the DRC also supports scholarships to students with disabilities who require accommodations for studying abroad and/or programming participation.
These initiatives help remove financial barriers and support academic achievement.
