The Centers for Student Engagement recognize and promote programming related to heritage and awareness months at FIU. We are pleased to announce that the full schedule of Hispanic Heritage Month programming is now available below. 

Heritage & Awareness Months

  • Black History Month

    Observed annually in February. A list of related programming and events will be available here when the observance begins. 

  • Women's History Month

    Observed annually in March. A list of related programming and events will be available here when the observance begins. 

  • Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

    Observed annually in May. A list of related programming and events will be available here when the observance begins. 

  • Pride Month

  • Caribbean American Heritage Month

  • Hispanic Heritage Month

    “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together.”

    Capture the spirit of innovation, resilience, and unity that defines the Hispanic experience.

    Hispanic Heritage Month is observed each year from September 15th to October 15th by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americas whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. We invite all students, faculty, and staff to join us in fostering a community that values learning, respect, education and enrichment of all cultures.
