FIU's Pride Student Union (PSU) is a student-led programming bureau under the Student Government Association that is supported by the Pride Center.
The purpose of PSU is to educate, uplift, and engage the 2SLGBTQIA+, SGL, allied, and other marginalized, intersectional communities at FIU. PSU also strives to empower the student body in their efforts to make the most of their college experience, contribute to student success and equity, and promote unity.
The mission of the Pride Student Union is to center, engage, support and promote pride through an intersectional, marginalized perspective. PSU is here to create a brave space where students, regardless of their gender or sexuality, can learn and grow to their fullest potential. PSU seeks the creation of student leadership opportunities through the unification of university-wide gender-related, sexuality-related, and sexual health-related programming.
PSU is focused on creating impactful and lasting change through advocacy on this campus. PSU serves as a bridge and unified voice addressing concerns of the student body to the SGA, FIU administration, FIU Board of Trustees, and Florida Board of Governors.
Joining PSU will allow you to get involved in leadership opportunities, take advantage of helpful resources, and form meaningful connections at events that center the LGBTQIA+ and allied communities. Our programs exist to maintain a campus environment that is inclusive of all students, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

For those interested in joining the PSU Cabinet, applications open twice a year in the Fall and Spring. Keep in mind that our Cabinet members are required to actively serve on at least one PSU standing committee per academic year. Be sure to follow us on social media for the latest updates!
