Kettia Romage
Bio
Kettia Romage is the Central Academic Advisor for Academic and Career Success. She attended Miami Dade College where she earned her Associate's Degree before transferring to FIU where she earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration. Kettia gained valuable experience working in higher education while attending Miami Dade College where she worked as a student assistant in the School of Justice. While completing her degrees at FIU, Kettia worked as a student assistant in the Student Athlete Academic Center and as a Special Programs Coordinator for Student Support Services.
Kettia joined the Exploratory Advising team in 2017. In that role, she helped students transition to their preferred majors based on their interest and career goals. Kettia has also advised Psychology, Interdisciplinary Studies and Liberal Studies students within the College of Arts, Sciences & Education. She has also taught SLS 1402 and SLS 1501.
Kettia joined the Student Success Operations and Strategy team this fall. In this role, she will assist with covering caseload gaps while advisors are on leave or during a transition period. Kettia’s passion is to work with students and help them achieve both their personal and academic goals. In her free time, Kettia enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and exploring new cultures.
