Merlin Cruz

Bio

Merlin Cruz is a two-time alumna of Florida International University, having earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counselor Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Merlin began working in Higher Education as an Academic Advisor for the College of Arts Sciences and Education in 2018, advising STEM students. She has also been a First Year Experience instructor since 2019. She joined Academic and Career Success in 2023 as a Student Progression Specialist, where she works with colleges to identify and intervene when students are off-track in their major to discuss their options and create a plan for graduation.
