Chanel G. Figueroa

Bio

Chanel G. Figueroa is a two-time alumna of Florida International University where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work. Chanel began her journey in the world of Higher Education in 2016 where she has worked as an academic advisor for Florida International University and the University of Colorado Boulder in areas including STEM, Exploratory, Education, and Psychology. Chanel joined the Division of Academic & Student Affairs in 2021 as a Student Progression Specialist where she will work with the colleges to identify and intervene when students are becoming off-track in their major to discuss their options and create a plan to get them back on-track for graduation. Outside of work, Chanel enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.
