Join thousands of Panthers on the turf at FIU Football Stadium to celebrate a successful first day of Fall 2023 – there will be food trucks, lawn games, a Greek BBQ, and so much more! F1RST NIGHT is the perfect way to kick off the semester, meet new friends, and see how you can get involved in the exciting campus life at FIU!

College Life Coaching 101

Attend this workshop to get a taste of the College Life Coaching program by utilizing a powerful coaching tool and setting academic goals.

SGA Senate Meeting
4-6 p.m. | GC 150/WUC 155
Student Government Association members are reminded to attend the weekly senate meeting. This meeting is open to all students.

5-10 p.m. | FIU Football Stadium
F1RST NIGHT is one of FIU's newest and largest traditions. Join thousands of Panthers on the turf at FIU Football Stadium to celebrate a successful first day of Fall 2023 – there will be food trucks, lawn games, a Greek BBQ, and so much more! You'll also have the opportunity to learn about Fraternity and Sorority Life and meet with dozens of student organizations and university departments. F1RST NIGHT is the perfect way to kick off the semester, meet new friends, and see how you can get involved in the exciting campus life at FIU!

Videogame & Tech Lending Showcase @ the Library
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. | Green Library, Second Floor
Come play retro-style arcade games while you learn about all the tech the library has to offer at this interactive device showcase. From 360 cameras and VR headsets to vinyl record players and projectors, there's something for all to discover. Best of all: It's all free to borrow from the library!

Head over to the GC Pit for an ice cream social! Enjoy frozen treats, grab some free school supplies, and learn how you can get involved with FIU's vibrant campus life by visiting the Panther Connect online hub.

Interested in participating in student government? Meet the SGA team and enjoy free Chipotle burritos (available on a first come, first served basis).

HRE's Silent Disco

Incoming Panther residents are invited to join FIU Housing & Residential Experience for a silent disco.

NPHC 101
6-8 p.m. | Parkview Hall Multipurpose Room
NPHC 101 aims to inform students about the National Pan-Hellenic Council's collective impact on campus and the broader community. Students will learn about each organization's mission, values and commitment to leadership, scholarship and community service.

21st-Century Critical Skills: Learn About FIU Micro-Credentials

FIU offers dozens of free micro-credential certificates to help students gain the skills critical to excel in the 21st-century workforce. Learn about the artifical intelligence, data and emotional intelligence micro-credentials in this workshop.

The Pride Center's "Queer Success with Sprinkles"

NPHC Food Pantry Collection

Join NPHC in our first service event of the semester, the FIU Student Pantry Food Drive. Help make a positive impact in our community and support fellow students in need by collecting food items for the FIU Student Food Pantry.

Panhellenic Promotional Event: Involved Women

Come get to know more about the Panhellenic Council prior to Fall Formal Recruitment! You will be able to chat and ask questions about how our sororities are involved both on campus and in the South Florida community!

NPHC Divine Education

The Energetic Study Hall Hangout at GL 100 aims to reimagine the traditional study hall experience into a lively and interactive gathering. This event seeks to create an engaging space for students to receive study tips and work on assignments while providing opportunities for socializing, collaborating and connecting with fellow Panthers.

Meet PantherNOW and The Roar
1-2 p.m. | PCA 180
Meet the team of the student-run newspaper and radio station, and learn how you can be involved!

BSU State of the Union
6:30-9 p.m. | GC Ballrooms
This annual, foundational event is an opportunity for the bureau to give the FIU community information on the "state of the Black Student Union" and issues facing students of the African Diaspora at FIU, receive and give recommendations for the university to consider, and highlight the initiatives for the academic year.

NPHC Campus Celebration
9-11 p.m. | GC Lawns
Join BSU and NPHC as we celebrate the start of the academic year in a fun and inclusive atmosphere. This is an opportunity for students to come together and unwind from the first week of classes with a DJ, food truck, snacks and giveaways!
