Raquel Vallecillo

Bio

Raquel Vallecillo is a Senior Student Success Analyst in the Office of Student Success Operations and Strategy. She is a two-time FIU alumna; she earned a Bachelor's in Psychology, with a second major in English, and a Master's in English. She began her career at FIU in 2018 as an academic advisor for the College of Arts, Sciences, & Education and advised students in the humanities. She regularly teaches first-year writing courses as an adjunct for the English Department’s Writing & Rhetoric program.

Raquel joined the Data Insights and Strategy team in 2024, and in her role, she uses data to track retention, attrition, and progression to graduation trends, evaluate student success projects and initiatives, and support the university's student success goals.
