Bio
Tina Nguyen is an experienced Student Services professional in admissions, registration, and advisement. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science and her Master’s in Adult Education and Human Resource Development. Tina began her higher education journey in 2012, where she worked in the Student Services department at Broward College as an Admissions Officer and Academic Advisor. She joined the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education at FIU in 2021 as a STEM Academic Advisor. She is also an Adjunct Instructor at FIU, teaching First Year Experience and Discover Your Major.
In 2023, Tina joined the Office of Student Success Operation & Strategy as a Student Progression Specialist. She works with colleges to identify and intervene when students are off-track in their major to discuss their options to remove academic barriers to make sure students graduate on time. Currently, as a Project Manager, Academic Success, Tina works on several university-wide projects, such as civic literacy, cohort monitoring to track retention and graduation, course auditors, graduation ineligibility and much more.
