Bio
Christine Parra serves as Assistant Director of Academic Success in the Office of Student Success Operations and Strategy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University.
Christine has been working within the field of higher education since 2015 and throughout her career has gained experience within the areas of Academic Advising, Career Services, and Orientation. Since 2020, she has also been teaching FIU’s First Year Experience course.
Christine joined the Student Success Operations and Strategy team in 2024. In her current role, she oversees the Progression team, using data to track retention, attrition, and progression-to-graduation trends, evaluating student success initiatives, and supporting the university’s broader student success goals.
