Biography

Imani Lowe is pursuing an M.S. in Higher Education Administration at Florida International University while serving as a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Leadership and Service. In this role, she is deeply involved in fostering student engagement through initiatives such as Alternative Breaks, Relay for Life, and the Student Food Pantry at Biscayne Bay Campus. With a passion for supporting student success, Imani envisions a lifelong journey dedicated to making a positive impact on individuals' lives.

An alumna of Florida International University, Imani holds degrees in Sociology and Women's Studies, supplemented by a certificate in Queer Studies. She embodies a deep commitment to the well-being of others, which forms an integral part of her identity. Her guiding ethos resonates with the words of Audre Lorde: "I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own. And I am not free as long as one person of Color remains chained. Nor is anyone of you."
