Service hours

Whether you're interested in finding a service project for yourself or looking to track your impacts, you've come to the right place.

Here are steps to search for volunteer opportunities and to track your community service hours/impacts:

• Find a partner and begin recording your service hours as soon as possible

   

  • Log into GivePulse directly to search for volunteer opportunities and to connect with community partners.
  • Check out the Service Tab on PantherConnect to find volunteer opportunities posted by non-profit community organizations.

   

• Document all your completed hours using FIU GIvePulse
  • Log into GivePulse to add your hours through the Impact Tab.

   

• How to track and log in your community service impacts on FIU GivePulse
  • Launch FIU GivePulse
  • Select the “Sign-in” button in the top right corner of the screen to log in with your FIU credentials.Select Log In via FIU with your FIU email address.
  • Click “Add Impact" button on the right side of the screen.
  • In the drop-down bar for Impact Types, you are able to select the following option to track your community service impacts:
  • ***If you are working towards the Excellence for Civic Engagement Medallion of Distinction, this is the only acceptable form of impact allowed.***
  • Time (service hours)
  • Other Impact Options
  • Money (monetary donations & philanthropy)
  • Goods (in-kind donations)
  • Training
  • Other
