Student Leadership Summit

The Annual FIU Student Leadership Summit is held each February on the Biscayne Bay Campus. The Summit is a one-day conference for current student leaders. The Summit offers our students the opportunity to learn from the vast expertise of our faculty and administrators, to share their leadership experiences with each other and to establish a network of support and cooperation within the university.

To enhance student learning at the Summit, we have identified learning outcomes around competencies that student leaders should develop for performance excellence. Faculty, staff, advisors and graduate students will be facilitating a series of workshops and presentations that directly tackle these competencies. Read More About FIU Student Leadership Competencies, which provides more information on the following competencies:

  • Learning and Reasoning
  • Self-Awareness and Development
  • Interpersonal Interaction
  • Group Dynamics
  • Civic Responsibility
  • Communication

  • Personal Behavior

The 20th Annual Student Leadership Summit will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Registration is open via go.fiu.edu/studentleadershipsummit
