Approach to Therapy: Maite believes that each client is the expert of their own experience and aims to tailor the therapeutic experience to the clients’ needs. She does this by employing an integrative approach to therapy incorporating elements from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Feminist Therapy. Maite strives to create a safe space for her clients and build strong rapport by utilizing humor and approaching the client with compassion and curiosity.

Professional Interests: Maite enjoys working with students from a wide range of backgrounds and identities such as students of color, LGBTQIA+ students, and student athletes. She enjoys working with clients who experience anxiety, stress, relational difficulties, depression, and concerns related to identity.

Other Activities: When she’s not working, Maite enjoys spending time with her dog, going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, playing sports, exploring new restaurants and traveling.
