Education: Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, New York University; Bachelor’s in Sociology, Duke University

Approach to Therapy: Laura is warm, emotionally attuned, and curious, allowing clients to feel that they can be their most authentic and unfiltered selves. She utilizes the following evidence-based modalities to inform her integrative and client-centered approach: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Laura approaches treatment from a holistic perspective, often incorporating mindfulness exercises and somatic experiencing into her practice. Laura’s goal-oriented and solution-focused approach gives clients the space to act as agents of their own positive change, allowing them to take renewed ownership over their narratives.

Professional Interests: Some of Laura’s professional interests include anxiety, life transitions, vocational exploration, self-esteem, PTSD, social anxiety, stress, relationship issues, adjustment

Other Activities: Laura loves staying active with Pilates, yoga, barre, and tennis. She also enjoys country music, travel, and spending time with her 5 year old Goldendoodle, George.
