Women Who Lead Conference

The Women’s Center in the Office of Social Justice and Inclusion is pleased to announce the 16th annual Women Who Lead Conference will take place on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Graham Center Ballrooms at MMC. 

This event is free for FIU students. Alumni, faculty, staff and community members are also welcome to attend and may purchase tickets online. All guests must register online.

Women Who Lead is a one-day leadership and career conference designed to enhance the personal, professional and academic development of students at FIU. The conference seeks to:

  • Enhance participants’ understanding and awareness of the scope of women and gender-expansive people in leadership in our society today
  • Provide participants with an opportunity to interact with and learn from women and gender-expansive leaders in a variety of career fields
  • Develop a greater understanding of the diversity of careers available in a variety of fields
  • Assist students in developing their personal leadership plans 

This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker Paula Carozzo, a disability activist, content creator and social media influencer who is a proponent of accessibility and inclusive rights. Afternoon breakout sessions will cover topics such as women in media, engaging in cross-cultural conversations, and women who are breaking barriers. Lunch will be served, and participants will have the opportunity to have their professional headshot taken by a photographer.
