FIU’s cohort default rate (CDR) is the percentage of student borrowers who enter repayment on certain federal loans and go without making payment for at least 270 consecutive days. FIU’s 2020 CDR is 0.0 percent, compared to the national rate of 0.0 percent. The 0% default rates are a result of the pandemic and the suspension of repayments from March 2020 through August 31, 2023. For more information regarding FIU’s CDR, including borrower statistics, visit FIU's OneStop website.
