Family Weekend Nature Preserve Beautification Project - Join Us for a Morning of Campus Beautification! 

• Check-in Time: 8:00 - 8:30 AM
  • Please arrive on time to ensure check in and materials are properly distributed.

• Program Welcome and Planting: 8:30 - 9:30 AM

• Looking for a memorable and meaningful way to spend time with other Panther families? Come and get your hands dirty by helping us make our campus shine! We're inviting families to join our Family Weekend Nature Preserve Beautification Project, where we'll plant flowers, pull weeds, spread mulch, and add a little extra love to our green spaces within the FIU Nature Preserve. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just want to enjoy some fresh air and teamwork, this is a great opportunity to bond with your own Panther, meet other families, and make a lasting impact on our campus. Small bites, tools, and supplies will be provided—just bring your enthusiasm and wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes! Let’s grow something beautiful together—one flower bed at a time! 🌼

Family Brunch hosted by the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Engagement*

• Join the FIU Center for Fraternity & Sorority Enrichment at a special Family Brunch during Family Weekend! This is your chance to connect with fellow Greek families, celebrate community, and enjoy a memorable morning on campus. Discover the vibrant life of FIU’s fraternities and sororities while supporting your student’s leadership, service, and lifelong friendships. You do not need to be a current family member of an affiliated student to attend. All are welcome to join us and learn more about our Greek communities! 

FIU Family Weekend Tailgate hosted by Orientation and Family Programs*

• Time: 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.
• Location: Modesto Maidique Campus, Parkview Multipurpose Room and Parkview Outdoor Area
• As part of our Family Weekend festivities, we are excited to invite you to our main event: the FIU Family Weekend Tailgate! This special gathering offers a wonderful opportunity for parents and family members to connect with the FIU community, mingle with fellow families, and show your Panther Pride. Enjoy delicious food and light refreshments as we celebrate together before the football game. To gain entry to this event, please purchase a Family Weekend Package below.

• Check In Location: Outside the Parkview Hall Multipurpose Room. Be sure to check in using the name of the individual who made the purchase on Eventbrite.
  • Note: Please do not purchase a Family Weekend package for current FIU students, as they receive complimentary admission to the Family Weekend Tailgate. While they are not required to pay for entry, they must present their FIU OneCard at the event for access. You will have an opportunity to submit their information ahead of time on Eventbrite so we can verify their student status.

FIU Football vs. Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens*

• Kickoff: 6:00 p.m.
• Location: Pitbull Stadium, Modesto Maidique Campus
• Join Roary & FIU Athletics for Family Weekend on Saturday, September 20, as your FIU Panthers take on the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens. Kickoff at the Pitbull Stadium is set for 6:00 p.m. As a valued member of the FIU family, we thank you for all that you have done to support the university. General admission seats will be set at a discounted price for FIU parents and family members participating in Family Weekend.
