By earning this badge, you can expect to recognize and understand how conflict impacts your life. You will be equipped with valuable tools to confidently deal with conflict in your personal life, education, community, or workplace.

This is a 5 week, FREE Co-curricular course - a Micro-credential that is standalone, not part of an FIU course. Ideal for current FIU students.

What will you learn?

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Practice active listening by asking questions to discern positions and interests, listening for understanding, and interpreting and reframing issues presented. 
  • Ascertain the position and interests of a conflicted party.
  • Brainstorm conflict resolution options and weigh pros and cons of each to prioritize the options. 
  • Establish strategies to address conflict. 
  • Demonstrate understanding of the course competencies and be able to relate them to their own personal growth.
