Approach to Therapy: Marissa collaborates with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals within a secure and encouraging environment. She supports clients in their personal growth, helping them shift their mindset, gain insight, develop adaptive coping strategies and make positive changes in their lives. Marissa utilizes an integrative, person-centered approach, emphasizing Positive Psychology and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She conceptualizes clients holistically and adopts a skill-based, solution-focused method that capitalizes on client strengths.

Professional Interests: Some of Marissa’s professional interests include stress and anxiety, student athletes, psychological assessment, performance psychology, relationship/interpersonal difficulties, mind-body wellness, and outreach. Additionally, Marissa has a passion for teaching and has experience instructing college-level courses in Introduction to Psychology and Stress Management at Nova Southeastern University.
Other Activities: Marissa loves to stay active, attend sporting events, spend time at the beach, try new restaurants and coffee shops and explore new destinations through travel.
