Student Food Pantry

The food pantries serve FIU students in need. There are two pantry locations and they are donations based. All the food distributed comes from donations made by staff, faculty, members of the community, and student groups. Students do not need to provide proof of need to use the facility.

The student food pantry provides non-perishable food items including canned proteins, fruits, dairy, vegetables, and soups, along with grains, oils and condiments. Toiletry items are also provided in our pantry.

the 2025 Dean’s Cup Challenge flyer. This competition among academic units and their Deans will take place throughout the month of November. We invite all members of the FIU community to support the Student Food Pantries by donating non-perishable items, including canned proteins, fruits, dairy, vegetables, and soups, as well as grains, oils, condiments, and toiletry items. This year, we have included a virtual option for those who would like to Adopt a Shopping Bag for $25 and contribute monetary donations to the pantry instead of dropping off non-perishable items. The link to the donation page: go.fiu.edu/deanscup2025 , at checkout you’ll be able to share what college you are contributing on behalf of.

Together, we can support the success of our Panthers by helping sustain this vital campus resource. Last year a total of 3,306 lbs. of non-perishable items were collected throughout the challenge, our goal for this year to collect 4,000 lbs. of non-perishable items!
