The Independent Greek Council (IGC) brings together academic, service and professional groups with shared goals while valuing their unique contributions to the campus. IGC promotes these organizations by encouraging community service, supporting high academic standards and helping students become leaders through engagement and professional development.

How to Join
To be eligible to join the IGC, prospective members must meet the following requirements:
- Be in good academic and disciplinary standing
- Be enrolled for a minimum of 12 or more credit hours during the same semester you intend to begin the new member process
- Current or transfer students having earned at least 12 credits must have a minimum 2.5 GPA at FIU or their previous institution (some chapters may have higher GPA requirements).
