Member Programs
Alcohol Awareness Week
To maintain a safe community, all FIU Greek Life members are encouraged to attend a week of activities and programs to address the effects of alcohol use and abuse, signs of binge drinking, responsible drinking habits and more.
Greek Unity Week
Greek Week is one of FIU Greek Life's signature events, where all fraternal organizations unite to uphold and advance the core values of fraternity and sorority life. Organized by Order of Omega, the event highlights the importance of these guiding principles. Each spring, fraternities and sororities pair up for a weeklong series of activities, including sports competitions, service projects, philanthropic efforts, educational programs and more, fostering fraternal bonds and lifelong friendships.
Hazing Prevention Week
FIU Greek Life participates in National Hazing Prevention week as a part of the community hazing prevention and awareness efforts. All councils participate in bringing awareness through programs, speakers and social media.
New Member Orientation
Each semester, new members are welcomed into FIU Greek Life through our online orientation on Canva. The program focuses on community overview, standards and expectations, campus resources, mental health, sexual assault prevention, hazing prevention, community building and leadership training.
Student Leadership Summit and Officer Training
The Student Leadership Summit and Officer Training is a two-day event in partnership with the Center for Leadership and Service. The first day features the Student Leadership Summit, followed by Fraternity and Sorority Officer Training on the second day.
These events offer leadership development sessions, skills-based programs and operational discussions to help participants become effective leaders and chapter members.
