About Us

The Center for Testing and Career Certification offers a variety of exams for undergraduate and graduate students at Florida International University and the local south Florida community. Testing services are provided at both the Modesto Maidique Campus and Biscayne Bay Campus as well as remote.

The Center administers the FTCE/FELE, CLEP, DSST, TEAS, ALEKS, FLATS, SAT, PERT, and various other professional assessments and certifications. Some industry certifications include MOS Associate, MOS Expert, Azure Fundamentals, and Microsoft Technology Associate. CTCC also provides make-up exams and proctoring services for individualized distance learners.

Mission Statement

The Center for Testing and Career Certification (CTCC) provides examinations, assessments, industry certifications, and related resources, such as our virtual remote testing center (vRTC), to support students along the pathway from degree to career.

The Center for Testing and Career Certification:

  • Administers exams used to determine initial course placement
  • Helps students satisfy their program admission testing requirements
  • Refers students to appropriate resources for test preparation
  • Serves as the primary liaison for outside testing agencies and institutions
  • Makes national and professional examinations available to university students and the local community
  • Facilitates the testing needs of distance learning students
  • Provides a suitable testing environment for students with special needs
  • Serves the community by providing exams that meet the needs of business and industry
  • Strives to continually maintain best testing practices and standards
