Postsecondary Education Readiness Test

Florida International University (FIU) administers the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) to assess students for college readiness. The assessment covers three subject areas: Mathematics, Reading, and Writing. The average completion time for all three sections is approximately three hours. Test scores are used to determine appropriate course placement upon enrollment at FIU and remain valid for two years.
