Starting her career at FIU, Alex had a desire to help other students and foster brave spaces, where anyone is welcome. While pursuing a degree in criminal justice and minoring in psychology, Alex became involved on campus. She was a Panther Camp facilitator where she had the opportunity to facilitate a 3-day extended orientation for incoming students. She was also a resident assistant within FIU’s housing community. In addition, Alex served on the Student Conduct Committee and was a Golden Scholar.

Alex focuses on supporting and improving her community. She volunteers at homeless shelters and devotes herself to aiding women, children, and LGBTQIA+ youth. One of her passion projects is creating care packages for these populations. In the future, Alex hopes to start a nonprofit organization that provides shelter and support for homeless LGBTQIA+ youth, along with multiple community centers for communities to cherish and enjoy.

Alex enjoys gardening, listening to podcasts, and cooking. She loves discovering new music and tv shows. She often spends time with her friends and family, volunteering in her community, and going to the beach.
