Parents and Family

Helping Your Panther Go Greek

Joining a fraternity or sorority is a shared experience. As the parent or family member of a future Greek Life member, we want this big decision in their life to be the right one for them and you.

Finding the Right Fit

FIU Greek Life is made up of councils representing various fraternities and sororities, each with its unique values, goals, and opportunities. While every Greek organization offers development, networking and fun, no two chapters are alike.

A key part of going Greek is helping your family members find the chapter that best aligns with their personal and professional goals.

Living Greek Means Doing Your Part

FIU is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where Greek Life members can grow into tomorrow’s leaders. Our top priority is ensuring that every fraternity and sorority member feels safe within our community.

We have a strict zero-tolerance hazing policy. All Greek Life members must follow the FIU Student Code of Conduct. Knowing and following the regulations presented in the code is every student’s responsibility.

Chapter Scorecards

By being transparent about every organization’s conduct and service, we encourage everyone to take responsibility for their actions. By admitting mistakes and celebrating achievements, fraternities and sororities do their part in making Greek Life a supportive, transformative experience.
