Greek Life at FIU
For over 40 years, FIU has supported fraternities and sororities. The journey began in 1979 when the university welcomed its first inter/national fraternity, the Elite Lambda Tau Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Today, we’re home to more than 40 fraternities and sororities with more than 1,500 students, organized into four dynamic councils: the Independent Greek Council, the Interfraternity Council, the National Multicultural Greek Council, the National Panhellenic Conference and the National Pan-Hellenic Council.
Center for Fraternity and Sorority Enrichment
The Center for Fraternity and Sorority Enrichment offers a supportive environment that encourages students to uphold and embody the values of their organizations. As Florida’s first center dedicated to enhancing fraternity and sorority life, we strive to help students build friendships and connections that last long after graduation. We also provide activities to empower members to become engaged and productive citizens in a global society.
