Dr. Fareed Haj Scholarship Endowment
FIU is proud to continue the legacy of Dr. Fareed Haj through a generous endowment from the Haj family. This lasting gift supports FIU students who are blind or visually impaired, easing some of the challenges they may face in earning their degree and empowering them to succeed.
Dr. Haj’s life and career were shaped by the scholarships he received as a young man studying in New York, opportunities that inspired him to dedicate his work to educating students with disabilities in South Florida. His story is a powerful example of how family, community service and access to education can change lives.
The Dr. Fareed Haj Scholarship Endowment applications are now closed.
