Registration & Scheduling
The candidate registers online at http://www.ase.com or by phone at 1-877-346-9327.
Once the candidates receives their registration confirmation, they will select a test center to schedule an appointment to take the test.
- Candidates will select a test center where they wish to test.
- If the test center selected is a satellite site, the website will direct the candidate to contact the Satellite test center directly for scheduling instructions.
- The Satellite test center, when contacted, will arrange an appointment for the candidate based on the scheduled hours of operation the site maintains and the candidate’s ability to appear for the exam.
Payment - Test fees are paid to ASE prior to scheduling an exam.
Cancellations/ Reschedule - To change or cancel an appointment scheduled with a Satellite test enter, the candidate must contact the site directly.
Walk-ins – Walkins are not allowed
Retests - Details regarding ASE’s policy for retaking an exam are included on the candidate’s Registration Ticket. Advise the candidate to contact ASE at 1-800-390-6789 or contactus@ase.com or http://www.ase.com for assistance with questions.

Please do not use GPS for directions, as it may lead you to the wrong entrance. Follow the instructions below carefully.
Driving Directions
- If going north on Biscayne Boulevard (US-1), turn right onto NE 151st Street.
- If going south on Biscayne Boulevard (US-1), turn left onto NE 151st Street.
- Continue driving east until you reach the FIU campus entrance.
- Turn left on NE 145th Street, then right on South University Drive.
Parking Information
Metered parking is available in Lot 1 and Lot 2, both of which are conveniently located near to the testing center. Please look for signs on campus indicating metered locations and zone numbers.
You can pay for parking using either of the following options:

The Center for Testing and Career Certification is located on the ground floor of Academic One, Room 160, directly next to the Parking & Transportation office.

Important Note
We strongly recommend that you arrive 15 before to allow sufficient time for parking and walking to the testing location. Following the directions above will ensure a smooth and timely arrival.
Test Center Regulations
- You must bring one form of identification. It must be a government-issued, valid photo ID with signature, matching exactly the name you used when registering and on your ID. NO EXCEPTIONS. Listed below are acceptable forms of photo identification:
- Current driver's license
- State Approved ID
- Current Passport
- Tribal ID card
- Military ID
- FIU Panther ID (Only for FIU make-up exams).
- No electronic devices are permitted within the testing lab. uElectronic devices are, but are not limited to:
- mobile phones of any type
- tablets
- smartwatches
- smart glasses
- laptops
- All personal items will be placed inside one of the lockers located outside the testing lab. Items such as hats, sunglasses, snacks, electronic devices, bags of any kind, loose jewelry, and other personal effects will not be permitted within the testing lab.
- Bring your exam registration ticket, if applicable, on the day of your exam.

Outerwear Clothing Policy for Test Takers – Effective January 2, 2025
To ensure a secure testing environment, all test takers wearing outerwear over their clothing must present it for visual inspection upon entering the Testing Center.
What Counts as Outerwear?
Outerwear includes but is not limited to: jackets, sweaters, coats, hoodies, cloaks, robes, dusters etc.
Guidelines for Test Takers:
- Outerwear Inspection: You must temporarily present all outerwear, to the extent possible, for inspection before starting your exam.
- Long-Sleeve Shirts: These are allowed, but you’ll need to temporarily roll up your sleeves during the inspection.
Important Reminder:
Failure to follow the test center rules will result in being possibly denied access to the exam.
