We value the relationships that faculty and staff have built with employers in the community and around the globe. For tracking and reporting purposes, we ask that you refer students and employers to the Career and Talent Development Department for internships and job opportunities. By being referred to the Career and Talent Development Department, employers can access the greater number of potential student interns using one convenient FIU source - Handshake.
Assisting students in their job search
Students aren’t the only one interested in their success; their accomplishments are also very important to the college. The role you play in the employment process complements the role played by Career and Talent Development. Occasionally, however, helping students in their job searches can result in unanticipated illegal or unethical actions. Read the guides below for more information.

Career and Talent Development serves not only our students and alumni, but also our faculty. As a faculty member, you may wish to schedule a class presentation through our office. You can also help us spread awareness of our programs and events geared towards helping your students develop the skills they need for today’s workforce.
