Hybrid Drop-In Hours
Career and Talent Development features a Hybrid Drop-In Program, where students and alumni can quickly and conveniently get expert:
- Career guidance
- Resume and cover letter critique (You must provide your own digital or hard copy)
- General job search strategies
- Answers about Handshake
A digital or hard copy of your resume and/or cover letter is required for critique.

Virtual Career Coach Appointments
From resume critiques, mock interviews, and more, Career and Talent Development is here to help! Students and Alumni can access resources and make appointments through FIU Handshake.
To request an appointment with a Career Coach, follow these steps:
- Log into Handshake
- Go to the “Career Center” drop down menu located at the top right-hand of your profile
- Click on “Appointments”
- Click on “Schedule A New Appointment” and select your preferred campus or virtual outlet with the topic of “General Career Counseling”
